Pastor Giselle Coutinho
Pastor Giselle Coutinho is the regularly called pastor at Bridge of Peace and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker also serves as the Executive Director of the Peace Center. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and has been at the Bridge for five years as pastor. She is pictured here with her family.

God Orders Our Steps One of the hopes and dreams of our multicultural ministry here in the City of Camden has been to be a "teaching site," that is, to share with others near and far our experiences and learning as we build a church that is multi-racial, multicultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-lingual. We are a ministry that continues to grow welcoming new members regularly. Our native languages include English, Spanish and Portuguese. We are ¼ White, ¼ African American, ¼ Latino and ¼ of mixed ethnic background. We have welcomed Portuguese speaking disciples from as far as North Philadelphia and Burlington County and Spanish speaking people from three countries searching for a Lutheran Church which worships in their native language. In the past two years we welcomed adult and youth leaders from a number of middle and high schools, churches, and Synods for immersion experiences most recently hosting two pastors from the New England, youth groups from mission partner churches and students from Clemson University. Two times this year we will host students from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia as part of their first year of field rotations. Bridge of Peace is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation and strongly supports ministry to families with differently-abled children including designing specialized Family Bible School experiences. Currently we have a strong emphasis on faith formation and more than 50% of the disciples who actively attend worship also are involved bible study both adults and children. Join our families for bible studies in our educational building Tuesdays at 6:00 PM. We eat dinner and then gather for the study of the word. On Wednesdays adults will meet at the Peace Center at 6:30 PM as part of our weekly bible study time . We are studying the gospel of Matthew. If you are unable to join us gather with your family at home and study the Word and pray for peace around the world and in the City of Camden. We welcome all!
We Thank God for Mr. Ernest and for his ministry among us and ask God to bless and keep his family and friends upon hearing of his passing into the hands of almighty God. We ask God to continue to help us proclaim the power of the resurrection as Ernest did so very well.
