The image of the table – the altar table with bread and wine – the table with abundant food that satisfies the tastes of all people – the table is a symbol of invitation and welcome.

Jesus invited his disciples to sit at table with him to eat the last supper. He created a “table” of abundant food as he took loaves and fishes to feed over 5000 people. He told the parable of the banquet feast to which the poor, crippled, blind, lame, and all who would come were invited until the house would be full (Luke 15:1-24). Please help us in sharing a meal, an invitation and a welcome to all God's children with abundance...

Josie Sanchez is involved in using her voice to fight for issues of justice and peace in our communities. She and other youth and adults are encouraged to see, remember and speak to issues which impact on the city of Camden and the wider world. Last year Josie spoke at a public meeting about safety when her dog Goliath was stolen and after much prayer and media attention we are thankful to report the police were able to recover her beloved pet. Having a voice and fighting for what you believe is important she thinks!

We again want to thank you for your gifts of time, talents and treasures which for us are a Spirit filled expression of the gospel in our world! We pray that God will continue to bless and guide you now and always. With thanksgiving to God for your ministry!

Justice in Service to the World

Things you should know about mental illness:

1.  Mental illness is biochemical and not a weakness in the person. Each person must seek assistance in stabilizing their own health which may include therapy, psychiatric care, and medication.

2.  Prayer is important and should be ongoing.

3.  Pastors, a church community, families and friends must be part of a treatment plan which includes emphasizing the spiritual gifts and strengths of those struggling with mental illness.

4.  Families must know about mental illness and love, empathy and support are essential.
